NQACC is committed to providing quality affordable child care and we believe that one very important part of that quality is found in our menu. Somaly works hard and takes pride in preparing food that the children will enjoy eating. We are excited that over the next several months we will be introducing new weekly menus. We have again used the Federal Food Program guidelines for revising and updating our menu. Starting the first week of May 2010 we will have a new and improved Week 3. Somaly and the teachers are looking forward to some new things on our menu like: banana muffins, lemon-pepper baked fish, corn bread, scrambled eggs, and a variety of seasonal fresh fruit. Every three menu cycles a new menu week will be added. A new week 4 will be introduced in July.

Children with allergies

If your child has food allergies or intolerances, we ask that you set up a meeting with the director to discuss your child’s food needs. We have an allergy form that must be completed by you and your family doctor every 6 months. This is very important and will help us keep up to date on your child’s health needs. We will make reasonable accommodations to provide nutritious food for your child. In most cases, we ask that families bring in substitutions for items that are on our menu, that your child can not eat. Somaly will heat the food up and deliver it to your child’s classroom. Please bring in food labeled with your child’s first and last name and the date.
