Parent Volunteers

At NQACC we recognize that children and teachers benefit when parents share their insights, talents, and skills. To build on the idea of community in our center, we request that each family donate 10 volunteer hours (per parent) each year. Volunteering and working with the child care center ensures the success of every child. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available through out the year, including but not limited to: working in your child’s classroom, project assistance from home, help during class parties, the Christmas program, fundraising events, cleaning projects, repair projects, and much more.
Volunteer hours will be logged from September 1 – August 31st of the following year. Please download the Parent Volunteer Form to log your hours and submit to the office by August 31st. NQACC parents will now be given the option of buying out any uncompleted volunteer hours at $10.00 an hour. For example, if your family is only able to complete 5 hours of volunteer time during the school year, you would submit $50.00 along with your Parent Volunteer Form by August 31st. Money submitted in lieu of service will be used to purchase new supplies for the classrooms or to make long-term improvements for the center. Please contact the office with any questions and to schedule your volunteer hours.
